Good for the new teacher

I am a seasoned toddler teacher, so I was a little disappointed that there were not a lot curriculum ideas new to me. I did, however, like the strategies and planning ideas to make the day run smoother. I believe this text would be marvelous for the teacher just getting ready to jump into the waters with twos and threes. The author uses a friendly and motivating voice in her writing.

This book is such a wonderful tool for teachers. every single part of the day is mentioned and talked about to help teachers do their very best from drop-offs, transitions,to snack and lunch times and outdoor play. The scripts in this book are so important for teachers to use and can be used every single day and is also a great resource for parents also. not only does Teaching Two's and Three's give great insight on activities and art projects but also the emotions of this age group and how to handle different situations. The pictures are such high-quality and so bright they are even templates for weekly planning along with great samples in the back of this book. You can tell that this author put in so much time and effort in this wonderful book. it is now my go to book for my classroom. I highly recommend this to anyone teaching this age group and even other age groups. There is literally no other book out there like this.

A great romance

This was a captivating story. I felt like the characters were well fleshed out. The pace of the book was just right, and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Amy and Damiin (his name seemed a little funny) had great chemistry together. Luna Cassini said she didn't want to make the book too long, but I would like to know how things worked out for them when they are crowned king and queen. Perhaps another book chronicling their adventures while returning the Marwan empire to its previous state. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Beautifully consuming

Spellbinding love story. One of self sacrifices, honor and saving not only his home but the younger planet of earth. In the midst of the battle he wages enters a female. He saves her yet has to make a decision of letting her go or keeping her. Will he make it on both battle grounds or will one suffer from them.
Great characters, very well written. Even made me smile. Truly a great read. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This is the first story I have read by Luna Cassini. The story was mostly written well though there were some typos and some confusing turns of phrase. Some of that could be attributed to the way language changes naturally over time and this obviously being set in the future, as well as the characters being from different locations in the universe.
The description of the antagonist is appropriately nasty and really gives your imagination a picture to work with that evolves. The main male is not really very likable in my opinion. He kind of needs his head removed from his rear. The main female character is alright, but she isn't my favorite character of the book either. The romance part is not developed in a way that made sense to me - I might have missed something there. There are a few other things that, to me, seemed more abrupt than I like. A word of warning to potential readers - there is a very brief but fairly visceral attempted rape scene in the later half. The book may contain triggers for people with that kind of event in their past.
Overall, the author shows a lot of potential and I will check out some more of her work. The story is an ok read with other characters I might like to know more about. I would have liked to see deeper development on the bad guy and two main people but I'd recommend giving this one a shot. Pick it up and see what your opinion is.

Blows Tuckman out of water

As a fixed income practitioner, I have long lamented the lack of resources combining academic rigor (like Martellini, Rebonato, etc.) and practical application (Tuckman, Fabozzi eh). The closest book I have found to addressing the challenges of someone working with fixed income in their day-to-day jobs is Tuckman, a reasonably well-written book, although more of a handbook for advanced users than a tutorial to the markets.

Veronesi is possibly the best fixed income introduction ever written. It does not skimp on mathematical thoroughness, as evidenced by crystal clear sections on term structure modeling and continuous time finance, as well as practical examples, including sections on term curve fitting, PCA/regression-based hedging, and well-written case studies throughout.

In short, this has become my favorite reference to the fixed income markets and I highly recommend it to practitioners or even students with some mathematical sophistication and exposure to the markets.

Decent explanations but poor self-assessment content

This book really explains thoroughly the basics of fixed income securities and illustrates each point with various examples that make it clear to understand.
While the content is of good quality and accessible to beginners, most of the exercises go well beyond the concepts explained in the book.
This results in a difficulty to assess and validate the knowledge acquired and I definitely wouldn't recommend this book if one were to self study.

Die Another Day

The old saying goes that a brave man dies once but a coward dies one thousand times. Jo Grant is no coward but she keeps dying--a lot. One moment, she and the Doctor are shielding a small fugitive alien from tyrannical empire and then Jo experiences a series of adventures where she dies to save the Doctor each time.

It's a nice mystery as to what's going on with a solid reveal. This has a nice 1970s feel to it and explores the Doctor-Jo relationship in a way that's quite touching. Some criticize Jo for being a bit of a bumbler, but she's also incredibly gutsy and courageous and this interesting story highlights that part of her character.

The story has a couple hard to follow moments and the attempts at subtle political undertones come across as a tad heavy handed, however Katy Manning is great in this, and very sweet in dedicating this to the late great Nicholas Courtney.
